The Dalkey Book Festival celebrates the rich literary heritage in and around Dalkey. It coincides with Bloomsday, on the 3rd weekend in June (14th to 16th June). Books of every kind are brought to life by their authors.

This festival fills the venues of Dalkey with writing, literature, theatre, comedy, debate, cinema and readings in charming, intimate venues from the local school to the masonic hall and from the cake-shop at lunchtime to the medieval graveyard at midnight.
